A great ‘urban meditation’ app which uses a colourful version of the Buddhist prayer wheel to draw the user into mindfulness. Choose a 5-minute session to fit into a work break, or while eating or if you’re feeling ill. There’s also a check-in system so you can keep up with your progress.

Dr Bishakha Chowdhury, a GP working in Romford, Essex, downloaded the app to help her with the pressures of her job. She says, “Buddhify makes mindfulness accessible. The length of the tracks vary from 5 to 15 minutes, allowing meditation to be undertaken at least once, even on very busy days.”
